A Sneak Peek at Jamie and Paul’s Deer Creek Valley Ranch Wedding

I’m looking forward to Jamie and Paul’s wedding at Deer Creek Valley Ranch this weekend.  Their tables are going to be amazing with lots of herbs, galvanized buckets and burlap.  Every guest gets to go home with the adorable mini-watering can with herbs pictured below.  The bride made her own place cards, favors and mason jar candles wrapped with burlap.

Some friends at the ranch came to see what we were up to.  I hope they will be by the fence for Jamie and Paul’s wedding!

The platform and walkway were being finished today!  I am so excited to have the first wedding on the landing by the covered bridge.  I’ll be sure to post photos of the ceremony transformation.  It’s going to look really rustic and beautiful for Jamie and Paul’s wedding!

A Sneak Peek of Katie and Nick’s Timeless and Rustic Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding

Working with Katie and Nick has been a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to their wedding tomorrow at one of my most favorite Colorado venues, Spruce Mountain Ranch.  Here is a quick peek at some of my favorite elements that we have for their big day.

  • The pillows are going to be placed on the porch swings on the patio to make the guests feel cozy and to add a pop of color.
  • Glass Jars filled with candy, will be located throughout the reception area, for a quick snack before the guests head back to the dance floor.  DJ Paula is spinning and I can’t wait to see the new lighting that she is brining.
  • The barbwire table numbers, wood logs for the centerpieces and the AMAZING welcome sign (it really is a work of art, even with the date being a little mixed up), were all made by the Bride’s Dad.
  •  Mason Jars on Stems for the couples toasting flutes.  Yes, they are taking mason jars to the next level!
  • Adorable signs for the different types of cake that will be on the dessert table.
  • Over 20 Ikea Lanterns will give the room an amazing glow.
  • A fabulous rustic frame to be used in some fun photos.
  • Not in the photos is Katie and Nick’s dog, who is going to steal the show as the cutest little ring bearer.

Happy Mother’s Day and Our Favorite Mother of the Groom Dance Songs

My beautiful and amazing Mom on my wedding day over 5 years ago.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I wanted to share a few of my favorite wedding photos with mother’s of a few Bliss Elevated bride and grooms, including one picture of my amazing mom right before I headed down the aisle over 5 years ago (left).  I often have grooms ask for suggestions for songs to dance to with their moms at their receptions.  Below is a list of a few of my favorites.  Feel free to leave your own suggestions in the comment section below.

Behind the Bliss at Amy and Omar’s Colorful “Owls in Love” Wedding

We gave you a Sneak Peek of the colorful and traditional elements that made up Amy and Omar’s wedding and brought together their Asian, Lebanese and Hispanic traditions and cultures.  Here are a few of our “behind the scenes” photos from their big day.  The wedding was on a beautiful day at Cherokee Ranch and Castle with the Islamic ceremony and wedding reception at The Inn at Hudson Gardens.   See below for a list of the wedding professionals that made Amy and Omar’s day perfect!

One of my personal favorite moments at each wedding.  Before their big day, I find out what the couple would like to drink for their first toast together as Husband and Wife.  After I leave them with their favorite drink, I move away and the couple gets a few precious seconds together, before everyone else makes it back down the aisle. Behind the Bliss at Heidi and Edward’s Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding

Heidi and Edward’s DIY wedding has a lot of special touches.  The couple provided mason jars, wood chargers and lanterns for the tables and Crystal in The Garden Floral added moss and succulent accents.  We fell in love with the succulent ring bearer pillow, the vintage typewriter guestbook and the “perfect pear” favors at everyone’s place setting!  Faux grass and battery-powered LED twinkle lights inside a variety of mason jars, lit the room after dark as Jammin’ DJ’s rocked the party.

Spruce Mountain Ranch is such an amazing venue for a wedding.  The mountainside setting is perfect for a rustic-romantic wedding ceremony and the Colorado Room and Albert’s Lodge add a bit of elegance to a Colorado evening, including dining, dancing under the stars and roasting s’mores by a beautiful fireplace.
