I am so excited to announce that Bliss Elevated was invited to join and is now an exclusive StudioWed wedding professional!   StudioWed is an exclusive collection of vendors brought together in a stylish planning studio that’s complimentary for engaged couples to use in planning the event of a lifetime.  It is a beautiful wedding showroom, planning resource and design studio based in Denver, Colorado.

The space is amazing and I just love the other vendors that make up this great group!

The studio has open hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon-5pm and every Saturday from 10am-4pm.  I will also be holding free consultations and planning meetings at the space by appointment only.  The new home of Bliss Elevated is located at 4500 West 38^th Avenue, Suite 100, in the Highlands area, only 5 minutes west of downtown Denver.

Ten Tips for Hiring a Photo Booth from Red Door Photo Booth

Photo booths can be a great addition to any wedding. Your guests can be entertained throughout the night and take home pictures that will last a lifetime!  Here are 10 tips to help you hire the BEST photo booth for your wedding from the amazing Kassi at Red Door Photo Booth.

1. Look for hidden costs- Is the price the company quoting you including the prop’s, the scrapbook, double prints, a copy of the nights pictures, and custom designed logo with your name and/or wedding date. Make sure to add up these costs if the company does charge an additional fee because a company that doesn’t charge may be the better option. What’s a photo booth without props?
2. Does the company have liability insurance? This sets the companies apart and is really important at your wedding.
3. Is the photo booth an “open air booth” or an actual step in, push a button, pose photo booth? This is an important question because a true photo booth isn’t “open air”. How can you get that “Let’s get crazy, No one is looking” pictures if in fact everyone is looking. Plus will the booth be an eye sore or will it blend into your wedding? Also remember that in open top photo booths if there is sun or lights shining in the top your pictures will have many shadows and glare. Look for companies that have a roof on the photo booth or fully enclosed.

The 2011 wedding season is coming to a close and what a season it was!  We were so busy with our couples that I didn’t even have time to blog.  I  have amazing photos, videos, tips and vendor spotlights from the past year and I can’t wait to share them with you over the next few months.  For starters, here’s a video by Kevin from Stalls Video Productions from Jennell and Rick’s Della Terra wedding at the end of August.  They are such a sweet couple and their beautiful wedding ceremony turned into an amazing party, with music provided by the wonderful and fun DJ Paula from Centerstage Entertainment.

We are so honored to win best wedding planner in Denver for the 2nd year in a row!  Thanks to all of our brides and grooms and their families, our favorite vendors, our friends, and our fans.  We couldn’t have done it without your votes!  There were 122 nominees and 1,725 votes in this category this year!  Check out all of the winner’s here.
